Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) - Diego Garcia

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.

PURPOSE / SCOPE

The Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) is designated as the local ISSO to ensure all IT support and management services are performed per specified IA instructions and policies.

Will also be responsible for information system security requirements and risk assessments, vulnerability scan, security test and evaluations, monitoring event logs, and maintaining network health and security.

Other Responsibilities:

• Conducts weekly audits of all systems.
• Assist in developing, implementing, explaining, briefing, and training the system custodians/users concerning their duties/responsibilities on accredited systems.
• Assists in investigating security incidents and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensures compliance with government and company security policies.
• Uploads and updates documents for projects in applicable systems.
• Updates project plans and briefs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assignment by leadership.

The Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) will be onsite during regular working hours and shall be available onsite within one hour after the Government's regular working hours. Will also be available for on-call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in computer science / engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
• Two years recent experience in IT-related field and one year of working in experience in Information Security (INFOSEC)
• Strong computer and software skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products
• Previous experience in a similar role, highly preferable at a US military or US government installation
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role
• Ability to successfully pass PACOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
• CAP / GSLC / CISM; IA appointment letter by ISSM preferred
