What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support compliance with post orders for controlled areas and sensitive operations.
• Assist with incident response, site inspections, and communication with local authorities and/or designated contacts when situations require additional support.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in security-related work, law enforcement, military police, or military service is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
