PRISM is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support secure enclaves and cyber network defense in Lorton, VA. You will perform technical security assessments, engineer defensive cyber solutions, and automate monitoring using tools like ePO, Splunk, ACAS, and Azure Automation. Key responsibilities include implementing DoD security controls, analyzing posture trends, and advising leadership on risk mitigation within Active Directory and Azure environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
Engineer unique cybersecurity solutions to support Cyber Threat and Defensive Operations.
Automate security monitoring, threat assessments, and reporting functions.
Analyze system and organizational security posture trends; provide findings to the ISSM/ISSO.
Recommend cybersecurity measures and mitigations based on evolving threats and vulnerabilities.
Implement security controls in alignment with DoD policies and principles of confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
Recommend and plan modifications based on exercise results and security testing outcomes.
Mitigate or recommend acceptance of identified risks and deficiencies during certification and testing activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS(SKILLS/EDUCATION):
Certification: IAT/IAM/IASAE Level III (DoD 8570 compliant)
Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in one or more of the following:
- Active Directory (AD DS, ADFS, AD CS, WSUS)
- ePO, Splunk, STIG/SCAP, YUM, ACAS automation
- Azure VPN Gateways, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics
5-8 years of demonstrated performance in related technology areas.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of leadership experience. OR equivalent professional experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years leadership experience in cybersecurity or related technical field.
Technical certifications in Microsoft Azure or related cloud technologies.
