Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Location: WOLF (Webster Outlying Field, Patuxent Naval Air Station), St. Inigoes, Maryland
Minimum Clearance Required: Secret
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position necessitates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and illegal drug use.
As a Warehouse Specialist, you will support contract operations by performing a full range of warehousing duties requiring knowledge of the establishment's approved storage plan and material control procedures. This position is subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as a non-exempt labor category. Duties are performed in accordance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, and established warehouse and safety protocols.

Note: In accordance with SCA labor category definitions, this position excludes employees whose primary duties consist of shipping and receiving, order filling, or the operation of forklifts as a principal function.

- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required
Demonstrable warehouse experience that includes:
- Inventory control, staging, packing, storage, and shipping support functions
- Handling of electronic equipment and related materials
- Use of motor vehicles and authorized material handling equipment
- Proficient use of computer-based inventory and barcoding systems for material entry, identification, and tracking
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of warehouse storage plans, material handling practices, and inventory control procedures
- Ability to follow contract-driven processes, written instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy and material accountability
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory system use
- Ability to work independently while supporting team-based contract operations
What You Will Do:
As directed by contract management or authorized supervisors, the Warehouse Specialist performs tasks that typically include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Verify materials, merchandise, and equipment against receiving documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify, document, and promptly report discrepancies, shortages, or visible damage in accordance with contract procedures
- Route incoming materials to designated storage locations based on established storage plans
- Store, stack, or palletize materials using approved methods that comply with safety and handling requirements
- Rearrange stored materials as required to support efficient space utilization and accessibility
- Perform physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliations of stored materials
- Inspect stored materials for deterioration, damage, or environmental impact and report findings
- Remove materials from storage and prepare items for staging, packing, and shipment as directed
- Accurately record and track inventory using computer-based inventory management and barcoding systems
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other authorized material handling equipment in support of warehouse operations
