Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Professional Continuing Education Technician who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Strategic Forces (AFIT/EX) directorate at WPAFB, OH.

The School of Strategic Force Studies' mission is to develop Airmen, joint service members, and our international partners to deter and if necessary, prevail in current and future conflicts by providing relevant and responsive nuclear and cyberspace professional continuing education.

The mission of the Department of Nuclear Studies (AFIT/EXA) is to develop Nuclear Mission Professionals with a comprehensive understanding of nuclear deterrence, assurance, and surety as well as imbue the critical knowledge and advocacy of nuclear policy, doctrine, strategy, sustainment, and modernization in the Joint All-Domain age of great power competition.

The mission of the Department of NC3 Studies (AFIT/EXB) is to ensure Professional Continuing Education for Airmen engaged in the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) enterprise by providing NC3 courses via command-sponsored education activity that directly supports the Air Force's top priority of nuclear deterrence and assurance.

The mission of the Department of Cyberspace Studies (AFIT/EXC) is to instill Department of the Air Force and joint members with the cyberspace knowledge and skills necessary to prevail in current and future conflicts.

The mission of the Academic Partnerships in Nuclear Education (APNE) program is to provide the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise professional workforce with an innovative approach for advanced learning opportunities to garner the skills and knowledge necessary for supporting strategic deterrence and assurance in an era of renewed strategic competition.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
  • Provide administrative assistance and support to the application, admission, enrollment, registration, and graduation requirements of in-residence, online/ distance learning, and mobile education team students.
  • Executes course registration programs via Canvas (or other assigned learning management system).
  • In-processes students for NC3 PCE programs/courses/classes.
  • Distributes course/class announcements via email/electronic means.
  • Reviews education/training applications to ensure students have satisfied prerequisites and provided proper documentation.
  • Compiles NC3 PCE education/training data and inputs into automated data systems.
  • Validates accuracy of education/training data for statistical trend analysis.
  • Tracks education/training program performance; updates/maintains student database.
  • Ensures students receive proper documentation/proof of course completion.
  • Obtains students rosters, enters student information into applicable database(s) and web-based systems, and informs the Lead Registrar when class rosters are updated/ available.
  • Remains knowledgeable of directives, policies, and procedures related to AU/AFIT registrar and scheduling functions.
  • Serve as a liaison among HAF/SAF, Combatant Command,
  • MAJCOM, Numbered Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve talent managers, AFIT, and the School of Strategic Force Studies (AFIT/EX) to support AFIT/EX- approved curriculum and courses.
  • Perform/assist with administrative duties to include, but not limited to:
    • Classroom set-up and tear-down.
    • Various duties that support PCE courses, as requested by the Director or Flight Chief, NC3 Schoolhouse.
  • As an integral part of this position's registrar-like responsibilities, execute SIS functions:
    • Utilize the assigned LMS (currently Canvas) and the AU/AFIT SIS to import, manage, extract, and analyze data and prepare associated reports.
    • Administer, implement, and otherwise manage the SIS database as it connects to and interacts with NC3 Schoolhouse database(s).
    • Perform analyses of SIS-related processes and provide recommendations for system modifications and process improvements.
    • Collaborate with AU/AFIT Information Technology team members to execute SIS database policies, procedures, and standards to produce desired results.
  • Communicate effectively with Air University and AFIT SIS points of contact to quickly and efficiently resolve issues with existing connectivity, utilization, training, software, and associated databases.
  • Provide data mining services as requested by NC3 Schoolhouse team members.


Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • BA/BS degree and three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Work experience with the Canvas learning management system (or similar), including enrollment management (admissions/registrar) functionality desired
  • Prior experience with higher education preferred
