Cleared Solutions Architect

Job Location: Ashburn, VA

Zachary Piper is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design, build, and deploy secure, scalable solutions that support mission outcomes across the homeland security market. This role focuses on bridging SaaS platforms and AI-driven solutions by translating operational requirements into enterprise architectures and deployable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design logical and physical architectures and define repeatable solution patterns
• Translate business and mission requirements into technical solutions
• Build proofs of concept and prototypes to validate designs
• Evaluate and recommend technologies that align with security, scalability, and compliance needs
• Advise stakeholders on architectural decisions and tradeoffs
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver solutions
• Develop technical roadmaps and assess emerging technologies
• Ensure solutions meet federal governance, security, and compliance standards
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing across teams

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret Clearance or DHS Public Trust Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or at least 3 years of relevant specialized experience
• 7+ years of development or architecture experience, including 3+ years in a senior architect role supporting SaaS platforms
• Experience with cloud-based enterprise platforms for IT services, operations, and business management
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Working knowledge of identity and access management and security tools (e.g., SailPoint, Okta)
• Experience identifying AI use cases and translating them into technical requirements
• Experience supporting federal enterprise programs, including governance and compliance
• Knowledge of Section 508, FISMA, and FedRAMP requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and government stakeholders

• Experience with ServiceNow
• Experience with Google Gemini
• Experience integrating AI solutions with SaaS or PaaS platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce)
• Active DHS, DoD Top Secret, or Q-level clearance

Compensation

· Salary: $185,000 - $200,000

· Benefits: PTO, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401 (k), and sick leave (as required by law)
