Job Description

Position Summary

The IT Business Analyst serves as the liaison between business units and IT, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing processes, recommending improvements, and supporting the successful delivery of IT projects.

Responsibilities

Duties includ e, but not limited to:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, processes, and challenges.
  • Gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements.
  • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization or automation.
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications for developers, engineers, and vendors.
  • Support solution design, system configuration, and integration activities.
  • Develop use cases, process maps, and documentation to support project planning.
  • Assist in creating test plans, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating system changes.
  • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Support change management efforts, including training materials and user documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, report risks and issues, and assist in mitigation activities.
  • Stay informed on technology trends and recommend innovative solutions that add business value.


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: ability to obtain Secret

Education: High School Diploma

Years of Experience: 1-3

Certifications: N/A

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Secret

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Years of experience: 3-5

Certifications: Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, ECBA, IIBA, ITIL or Agile certifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis techniques.
  • Experience with enterprise applications, system integrations, or data platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Technical Skills
  • Experience in business applications or workflow automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with full Microsoft Suite data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 of CMMC Level 2


Interpersonal Skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Adaptable and able to collaborate across teams.
  • Comfortable translating complexity into clarity.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
