We are seeking a AV Engineering Leader 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

We are seeking a AV Engineering Leader 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. Responsibilities
Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
- Leading complex technical discussions, projects, and/or programs.
- Providing oversight, direction, and technical expertise to engineering teams on a project.
- Validating world class technical solutions on projects.
- Ensuring engineering best practices are followed across multiple engineering and solution disciplines.
- Managing technical risk on a project.
- Leading an engineering discipline to develop new and upcoming engineers and technical experts.
- Preparing client-specific solutions.
- Driving the development and maintenance of project artifacts that are required to ensure success for a project.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing work process improvements.
- Reviewing technical project details with project leadership.
- Managing the integration of data from multiple company systems and analyzing the data to draw insights on project technical solution.
- Ensuring safety regulations are adhered to and issues identified and resolved.
- Creating and Leading other Engineers in creating Drawing Packages and Bill of Materials in CAD.
- Design and testing of complex videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing, control systems, displays, video walls and matrix systems, audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies, etc.) and A/V based collaboration technologies
- Design of audio/video systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems
- Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support, including collecting and recording detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes, and providing overall system costing for A/V projects
- Design, test, and troubleshoot various network and telecommunications systems including IP networks and ISDN networks
- Understanding plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprint and drawings
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Develop test plans for complex AV control system functional acceptance tests of AMX, Crestron, and Extron control systems
- Develop and conduct on-site user and administrative training for the installed integrated audio/visual systems
- Maintaining a positive, assertive relationship with project engineers to achieve project milestones and overall project success.

Education, Experience & Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 7+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience OR
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program with 5+ years of experience in any Engineering discipline with Construction experience
The Engineering Leader 1 preferred education and training is:
- AVIXA CTS-D Certification
- Vendor Certifications to include Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and Q-SYS
The Engineering Leader 1 required skills are:
- Strong knowledge of A/V technologies and various application methods.
- Experience with collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Ability to lead the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for one or more specific branches of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Strong knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding
- Applied experience in developing and providing solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Strong Knowledge with developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures for the design and implementation of complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of finance systems and basic principles of finance management.
- Ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service
- Ability to calculate and present the costs of a project when budgeting.
- Strong experience performing technical cross-training/coaching of junior colleagues
- Strong background working with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of Government and/or Commercial Audio Visual Systems including; design, programming, commissioning and installation.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objective
- Strong Knowledge with A/V, IT, telecommunications, and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications
- Strong knowledge of videoconferencing standards
- Strong Knowledge with reading and interpreting blueprints
- Strong Knowledge with performing complex design/build and conceptual design practices
- Ability to develop and maintain trust and trusting relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- AutoCAD experience, or experience drafting with a similar drafting software
- Experience with MS O365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Sharepoint).
- Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills with the ability and experience communicating directly with project and executive leadership
- Solid problem solving and consultative skills in a fast-paced environment
