Network Engineer

IDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting secure network environments with a focus on migration, deployment, and performance optimization for enterprise-level projects.

Position Overview for the Network Engineer:

• Provide advanced engineering support for government programs, focusing on network design, deployment, and security implementation
• Support the migration of field program environments into a secure, scalable hosting environment
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system operations
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, cybersecurity personnel, and stakeholders throughout all project phases

Requirements for the Network Engineer:

• 8+ years of Network Engineering experience in a production enterprise environment
• Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience with network design, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
• Strong network security experience, including segmentation and firewall policies
• Able to obtain a secret clearance
