Job Description Summary:
The Supplier Management Specialist, Senior serves as an integral member of the Supply Chain function, who together support Draper's multidisciplinary teams of engineers and program staff. Responsibilities include evaluating and monitoring Draper's supplier base to identify, manage and mitigate any strategic, operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risk for Draper as it relates to the engagement with suppliers and other third parties. The incumbent assists in the execution of Draper's due diligence process to support supplier relationships and effectively collect, evaluate, assess, manage, and report on supplier risks.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$75,000.00 - $156,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
- Follows established procedures, practices, policies, and Federal/State regulation to execute activities to meet the Draper's expectations in terms of supplier onboarding compliance.
- Conduct due diligent reviews of existing and new suppliers.
- Maintains Draper's supplier management system to ensure proper tracking and monitoring of suppliers to ensure compliance with Draper's due diligence process.
- Ensure accuracy of supplier documentation, assesses risks, onboard and/or update supplier records as needed.
- Maintain and execute an annual renewal process for supplier documentation.
- Conduct continuous reviews of state and federal policies, mandates, and vendor publications related to and recommend changes to vendor management procedures affected by new guidance.
- Support the selection and onboarding process for major sourcing efforts.
- Assist in the development of a supplier score card.
- Coordinates with applicable program, engineering and/or other functional areas to ensure completion of supplier onboarding requirements, risk assessment documentation at the time of supplier selection and throughout the supplier life cycle.
- Continuously review and suggest supplier risk management process improvements.
- Identify potential compliance gaps to Supplier Management Team Lead and Small Business Compliance Specialist.
- Maintains knowledge of business, products, and systems to ensure effective use of vendor and procurement services.
- Records and reports due diligence findings to Leadership, stakeholders and project teams.
- Partner and maintains strong working relationships within internal stakeholders and other functional office areas such as Procurement, Compliance, IT, and Legal as applicable.
Skills/Abilities
- S trong working knowledge of state and commercial regulations, supplier management best practices and relationship management with suppliers
- Familiarity with industry cybersecurity compliance standards such as DoD, NIST and others.
- Handle multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Builds relationships with cross-functional and external stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly understand processes and ensure adherence to the same.
- Perform tasks in a timely and well-organized manner with limited oversight.
- Possess excellent problem solving and communication skills that can be deployed to collaborate effectively with different functional teams on a variety of topics.
- Must be able to deploy a systematic approach to work with limited oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with PeopleSoft and Unanet preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant supplier management, procurement or finance related field preferred.
