Job Summary

Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on all hardware and software involved with or in support of eIT PMO, specifically the EDMS system based on OpenText Content Suite. Work with the project's Information Assurance (IA) Engineer, Product Leads, and Management to prioritize and execute product administration tasks following eIT PMO processes. Collaborate with Development and Support teams to ensure EDMS meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the functionality and efficiency of OpenText systems deployed within the Development, Test and Production Environments.
  • Maintain system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, validating, and implementing critical system patches.
  • Follow approved policies, procedures and standards related to the use of computing resources, overall strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of the EDMS system.
  • Work to meet scheduled milestones in the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Evaluate and install developed or OpenText COTS software during various phases of testing.
  • Review and prepare documentation for system test and installation of software.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance of operating systems, as well as repair of operating system problems.
  • Administer systems/environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules and interface with vendors for solution of trouble calls.
  • Responsible for Operating system security support such as routinely executing IA patches to be compliant with IA Controls and resolve or document vulnerability findings.
  • Interact with peers daily and during internal Engineering Review Board meetings. Requires frequent interaction with customers and/or function peer group leads and managers.
  • Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee may be required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
  • Support all aspects of keeping products operational and available to customers.
  • Manage firewall rules. Coordinate with the external network management team to ensure that all required ports are open and documented.
  • Review output from daily scheduled WebReports for user expiration, rendition, and other scheduled tasks
  • Review Content Server Agent processing to ensure all agents are operational.
  • Reviews logs In Splunk Enterprise to perform health checks of the systems.
  • Create or update Work instructions for technical tasks.
  • Create and Maintain Change Requests/Change Proposals through completion.
  • Be on hand for every scheduled downtime (unless prior arrangements are made) to support the scheduled work and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Complete training as required per DoD, eIT PMO, and contracting agency.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or 5-10 years relevant work experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required.
  • Position requires OpenText Content Server Administrator certification.

Required Skills
  • Have complete working knowledge of OpenText Content Server and all associated modules.
  • Experience in Microsoft server administration or administration of VM Ware required.
  • Experience with web server software such as IIS and Tomcat required.
  • Able to install / configure and support the OpenText environment specific to eIT PMO guidelines.

Desired Skills
  • Experience with OpenText Web Reports and other customization languages preferred.
  • Web development experience such as JQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS preferred.
  • Experience in Oracle database administration or MS SQL Server preferred.

Security Clearance
  • Successfully complete an SSBI background investigation.
