Project Officer

The Role:

This role provides advanced technical guidance across command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) functions. You'll support mission-critical R&D, capability integration, and technology transition efforts in joint and coalition environments. This position is ideal for someone who can navigate both strategic and tactical domains, collaborate across government and contractor teams, and deliver operationally relevant solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as SME for C5ISR systems within the Marine Corps operational and RDT&E environment.
• Analyze, design, and advise on complex C5ISR challenges involving C2, networks, cyber, and ISR integration.
• Recommend and support capability enhancements and tech insertions to close gaps.
• Guide development and integration of new and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to technical documentation, briefings, training materials, and decision support products.
• Engage with stakeholders across USMC, Joint, and Coalition partners to align efforts with operational needs.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with engineers, developers, and end users.

Required Qualifications:

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Recent (within 1-3 years) hands-on experience with USMC C5ISR systems.
• Demonstrated success employing C5ISR technologies in operational settings.
• Strong knowledge of cyber protections, comms/transport systems, ISR tools, and C2 applications.
• Ability to work with government and contractor teams at all levels.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with USMC network and communications architectures.
• Experience with integration of ISR and C2 systems in joint/coalition settings.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition and capability development processes.
• Background in transitioning capabilities from lab to field.
• Active CI Polygraph.
