Position Summary
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist II to support execution-focused demand and supply planning activities. This role serves as an Inventory Planning Coordinator, providing hands-on planning execution support across assigned customers, products, or programs. The position emphasizes accuracy, coordination, and reliable follow-through to ensure forecast and supply alignment.
The Supply Chain Specialist II works closely with Planners, Sales, Supplier Management, Product Line, and Operations to support day-to-day planning, reporting, and data management activities.

This role serves as an Inventory Planning Coordinator, providing hands-on planning execution support across assigned customers, products, or programs. The position emphasizes accuracy, coordination, and reliable follow-through to ensure forecast and supply alignment.
The Supply Chain Specialist II works closely with Planners, Sales, Supplier Management, Product Line, and Operations to support day-to-day planning, reporting, and data management activities.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end demand and supply planning execution activities under the guidance of planners
- Maintain and update demand forecasts using historical data, business inputs, and planning assumptions
- Reconcile basic supply vs. demand issues and flag constraints, shortages, and capacity risks
- Execute routine planning cadence activities including schedule updates, forecast uploads, and supply reconciliation
- Prepare planning reports and trackers such as forecast vs. actuals, on-time delivery (OTD), and inventory status
- Coordinate with Sales, Supplier Management, Product Line, and Operations to gather inputs and resolve transactional planning issues
- Support planning reviews by preparing summary materials, visualizations, and identifying key risks or variances
- Perform root-cause data checks and basic analysis to identify anomalies in demand or supply data
- Follow documented planning processes, templates, and standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Assist with data cleanup, master data validation, and system uploads
- Support development and maintenance of planning tools, templates, and automated reports
- Escalate issues and recommended corrective actions to planners or management in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of planning execution
- 1-3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or related supply chain operations
- Hands-on experience executing planning tasks for one or more customer accounts or programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP; basic VBA or macros preferred)
- Familiarity with planning systems such as SAP, Blue Yonder, SPM, or equivalent (data entry/upload experience)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data and reporting tools
- Basic analytical skills with comfort working in data-driven environments
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow established processes, manage routine priorities, and escalate risks appropriately
- Experience supporting planners or planning teams in an execution-focused role
- Exposure to forecasting methods and supply planning assumptions
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau (or strong interest in developing reporting skills)
- Experience with inventory reconciliation or supply performance tracking
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
