Summary:
• Manage Linux virtual machines within cloud infrastructures.
• Perform comprehensive command line system administration, including backups and security updates.
• Deploy and manage monitoring tools and various applications.
• Utilize scripting for automation and system management, primarily with Python and Perl.
• Desired experience includes Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, and NiFi.
Qualifications & Compensation:
- Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Years of experience: 10+ years
- Salary: $233k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Administer and maintain Linux virtual machines in cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure).
• Perform advanced command line system administration tasks.
• Implement and manage system backup and recovery operations.
• Conduct routine security updates, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Deploy, configure, and manage monitoring tools and applications, such as Nagios.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Perl.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with data flow management tools like NiFi.
• Configure and maintain Elasticsearch clusters for data indexing and search.
