Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Receiving Inspector - Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team inChandler, AZ.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:
  • Inspect purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
  • Inspect for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
  • Visually inspect for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
  • Verify specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
  • Conduct inspections that may involve compound angles or three-dimensional projections using inspection equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, telescope gauges, and optical comparators.


This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Clearance not required to start
  • Proficient in the use and Programing of CMM (Zeiss Calypso)
  • Familiarity with using inspection equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, telescope gauges, and optical comparators
  • Experience making pass/fail decisions on inspected goods.
  • Maintain records of results

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Clearance not required to start
  • Proficient in the use and Programing of CMM (Zeiss Calypso)
  • Familiarity with using inspection equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, telescope gauges, and optical comparators
  • Experience making pass/fail decisions on inspected goods.
  • Maintain records of results


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within Aerospace and Defense

Primary Level Salary Range: $25.34 - $42.26

Secondary Level Salary Range: $30.14 - $50.24

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
