Senior Consultant - ANS vDefend / Network Security
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with hands-on experience in ANS vDefend, focused on securing enterprise environments through microsegmentation, encryption, and workload migration support. This role will work across infrastructure, security, and application teams to design and implement secure architectures in both on-premise and cloud environments.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with hands-on experience in ANS vDefend, focused on securing enterprise environments through microsegmentation, encryption, and workload migration support. This role will work across infrastructure, security, and application teams to design and implement secure architectures in both on-premise and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement microsegmentation strategies using ANS vDefend to reduce attack surface and enforce least privilege access
- Configure and manage encryption controls for data in transit and at rest across enterprise systems
- Support and lead workload migrations, ensuring security controls are maintained or improved during transition
- Assess existing environments and recommend improvements aligned with security best practices and mission requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and security teams to integrate vDefend into broader infrastructure
- Develop and maintain documentation including architecture diagrams, security policies, and standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network security, segmentation policies, and encrypted communications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience implementing and managing ANS vDefend in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of microsegmentation principles and network security architecture
- Experience with encryption technologies, key management, and secure communications protocols
- Background supporting workload migrations across on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, VLANs)
- Ability to operate in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in federal or regulated environments (DoD, IC, DHS, etc.)
- Familiarity with zero trust architectures and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, DISA STIGs)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)

- Microsegmentation policies are implemented with minimal disruption to operations
- Workloads are migrated securely with no degradation in security posture
- Encryption controls are consistently applied and validated across systems
- Stakeholders have clear visibility into the security architecture and controls in place
