Job Description

Title:
Inspector General SME

KBR is seeking an Inspector General Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide Headquarters STARCOM with on-site support at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the STARCOM Inspector General.
  • Research, develop, and validate STARCOM inspection plans and requirements.
  • Provide Gatekeeper support to synchronize inspection activities with the Department of the Air Force Inspection Agency, United States Space Force (USSF) Inspector General, USSF Field Commands, and STARCOM Deltas.
  • Support implementation of STARCOM IG programs such as Complaints, Investigations, and External Evaluations/Assessments.
  • Author STARCOM IG guidance, instructions, operating procedures, manuals, or similar products.
  • Provide IG Team Support including managing workflow calendars, records management, administrator activities on IGEMS, MICT, and other similar systems.
  • Support strategic planning and communications (i.e., SharePoint and Webpage updates).
  • Maintain confidentiality while reviewing IG-related products.
  • Align recommendations with established and emerging Department of the Air Force (DAF), USSF, and STARCOM guidance and instructions.
  • Use Government-provided systems that support IG functions such as Inspector General's Inspection Reporting System (IGEMS), Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT), task management tools, and other similar fielded systems.
  • Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • 3 years of experience directly relating to the job responsibilities at the Headquarters level.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accustomed to professionally working with military senior leaders, offices, directorates, and action officers.


Desired:
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, Field Command or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with US Space Force mission.


Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-site
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
  • Working Hours: Standard
