Job Description Summary:

An Electronics/Electrical Engineer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer 2 is a design professional who plays a critical role in the development of high-complexity printed circuit boards. As an Electronics/Electrical Engineer PCB Designer 2, you will design, develop and execute printed circuit layouts for electronic equipment including sensors, motors, radar and navigation systems. You will work as a member of a cross-functional engineering team including Electronics, Electronics Packaging, Manufacturing, Component Engineering and Quality to ensure the PCB designs meet performance and manufacturing requirements. Your expertise will be critical in delivering high-quality PCB designs that support innovative product development. The Electronics/Electrical Engineer PCB Designer 2 independently executes (with oversight) simple to complex printed circuit layouts for standard board technologies.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Translates project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures working with cross-functional teams.
  • Innovatively solves issues, drives completion of the project to schedule, and collaboratively works with other technical contributors.
  • Builds, debugs, and tests prototypes and deliverable hardware.
  • Prepares documentation for manufacturing, and provides continuous support.
  • Researches and enables innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs.
  • Engages other engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost effective end solutions for products.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Independently executes assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Able to apply technical knowledge to solve problems.
  • Contributes high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
  • Proactively identifies needs and concerns associated with design decisions and communicates them to project leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience

3-5 years experience in electrical engineering or related field.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is

$75,000.00 - $156,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
