AV/VTC Engineer - US Army Garrison-H
Fort Huachuca, AZ - Full Time - On-site - Secret Clearance required
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the SR AV/VTC Engineer is to support the AV/VTC modernization to ensure that all mission-essential systems are operational and configurations are compatible with other Army installations with the latest technology available. Responsibilities include AV/VTC Operations and Maintenance, and the lifecycle sustainment and upgrade of Command Centers and Distributed Command Posts for all INSCOM Major Subordinate Commands. The applicant will be part of an O&M and implementation team responsible for the install of AVVTC systems to include securing and hardening, testing, and documentation and deliverables.
Responsibilities of this position include:
• Coordinate with required POCs for site preparation actions for system implementation
• Work closely with the AV/VTC Programmer to create and standardize a baseline HW/SW configuration and control code
• Conduct routine maintenance and training on AV/VTC systems and ensure continued compliance with DoD and Army regulations
• Manage AV/VTC systems throughout its lifecycle
• Anticipate and forecast equipment End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS)
• Test existing infrastructure and equipment to determine feasibility for re-use
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and break/fix actions and manage each incident using the ESIM Program Dashboard and Remedy
• Develop repair procedures for routine or repeat issues
• Create and maintain a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) to ensure equipment warranty coverage is maintained and systems are reliable, available, and operational throughout its life cycle
Required Skills:
• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• DoDD 8570.01m IAT level 1/2 certification (Sec +)
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in AV/VTC systems and operations
• Experience using Microsoft Office tool (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
• Experience with Extron, AMX, and Crestron
• Ability to work and accomplish tasks with minimal or general guidance
• Familiarity with Army and DoD networks
Preferred Skills:
• B.S. Information Systems, or Information Technology, and/or combination of education and work experience equivalent
• Networking experience
• ITILv3 Foundations or higher
• Certified Avixa CTS-D or CTS-I
• Extron, AMX, or Crestron training
