We are seeking an experienced Principal Scheduler to support the NISSC III program. In this role, you will work with systems critical to the Integrated Warning System and national defense priorities. This is a full-time, on-site position for a detail-oriented scheduling expert who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about excellence in planning, performance management, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
This role reports through the Sector Scheduling Manager and aligns with the Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) and Controls Center of Excellence (COE) for functional guidance while supporting the program day-to-day.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced scheduling theory and best practices to develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related artifacts in compliance with applicable standards and policies
- Implement processes to align resource time phasing and planning with the IMS to create an integrated technical, schedule, and resource/cost baseline and forecast/ETC
- Develop and analyze “what-if” scenarios to inform program leadership and support decision-making
- Provide scheduling expertise during new business proposals and capture activities
- Serve as a scheduling leader, assisting programs with issue identification, root cause analysis, and resolution
- Implement program scheduling business rhythms, controls, and reporting structures
- Develop scheduling artifacts that meet contractual and project requirements
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met
- Participate in program reviews, audits, and other key meetings
- Provide scheduling support to Program Management for internal and external audits, reviews, and corrective action implementation
- Collaborate extensively with Program Managers, Contracts, Senior Technical Personnel, and other stakeholders
- Perform additional duties as required to support program success
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.
- US Citizen; Currently possessing an Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of programmatic scheduling theory and practice
- Required knowledge of program management and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Experience with advanced scheduling concepts, including:
- Schedule status processes
- Schedule health assessment (e.g., DCMA 14-Point Analysis)
- Resource loading/management
- Cost and schedule integration using OPDEC IPM, COBRA, or similar EVM tools
- Baseline change control processes
- Schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI etc.)
- Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)/Monte Carlo Analysis and tools
- Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field with 10+ years of experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and advocate discipline-related knowledge, services, and programs
- Intermediate to advanced expertise with Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project
- PMP or Scheduling Professional (SP) certification
- Experience with Milestones Professional
- Strong skills with MS Project, including macros
- Experience with MS Project Web App (PWA)
- Experience with Power BI
- Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget, with strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
- Understanding of technical concepts related to software development, engineering, and networking
- Experience with NISSC or other Air Force programs
