About The Role
Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Scientist, proven to excel in high operational tempo environments, to drive mission execution in support of national security objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience directly supporting the Intelligence Community (IC). Your technical expertise is critical to enabling process automation and the integration and application of data analytics to large datasets. You are a strategic communicator, capable of working with technical and non-technical partners to enable the production of intelligence and targeting products. You are also comfortable fully participating in peer review processes aimed at enhancing advanced analytic projects through use of best practices and consideration of novel methodological approaches to these projects. You are comfortable taking limited direction to support your customer's ability to maintain operational readiness in a dynamic environment. You establish and maintain excellent, collaborative working relationships with executive leaders, soliciting and incorporating feedback in a thoughtful, professional manner.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

- Active, current TS/SCI with polygraph
- Minimum of 12 years relevant experience with BS/BA
- 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
- Proven data science background with experience using multiple programming languages such as Python, R, and Ruby
- Ability to maintain superior customer service and effectively manage project completion, particularly in changing environments where adaptation is key based on new information
- Demonstrated experience successfully working across organizational silos to support whole-of-government activities
- Ability to confidently engage partners in a professional, collaborative manner
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of IC policies and procedures and the ability to apply that knowledge to effectively meet customer needs;
- Experience leading teams by participating in hiring and onboarding, driving individual and team performance, supporting growth and development, etc.
