Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Pay Rate: $47.50/hr W2

Clearance: Ability to obtain Public Trust (Required)

Job Overview

We are seeking a creative Multimedia and Graphic Design Specialist to support strategic communications for a federal agency. This role is perfect for a visual storyteller who can translate sensitive and complex topics into compelling videos, photography, and graphics for public audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Production: Lead photography, video production, and graphic design from concept to final delivery.
  • Visual Storytelling: Capture broadcast-quality photo/video at official events, interviews, and on-location shoots.
  • Digital Content: Create social-media-optimized assets (reels, sizzle videos, infographics) for platforms like X, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Editing & Motion Graphics: Handle all post-production, including video editing, motion graphics, captioning, and 508 accessibility compliance.
  • Asset Management: Catalog and organize multimedia libraries, ensuring all licenses, consent forms, and usage rights are documented.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside high-level agency officials and communication teams to support integrated campaigns.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in photography, video production, or visual communications.
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom).
  • Equipment: Experience operating professional-grade cameras, audio gear, and lighting kits.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel on short notice (including occasional overnights) for official events and press engagements.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Experience in photojournalism, news outlets, or military communications.
  • Background in livestreaming events or podcast production.
