Project Engineer - Mixed Use Buildings MEP

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Mixed Use Buildings MEP) to join our Project Management Construction(PMC) team! In this role, you will manage daily site operations related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and Firefighting construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee all MEP construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the design ,construction and supervision teams to ensure smooth execution of MEP works, such as electrical installations, plumbing, drainage systems, water supply networks, and sewer systems.
• Monitor work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and taking corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
• Conduct site inspections, ensuring that MEP works are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with the approved design.
• Ensure proper documentation of all MEP works, including progress reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with MEP works.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for MEP works.
• Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that MEP components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in MEP Construction Supervision, with at least 5 years in a site engineering role for large-scale Mixed Use Building projects in addition to Abu Dhabi Experience.
• Experience in managing MEP works such as electrical installations including instrumentation, plumbing, drainage systems, water supply networks, and sewer systems.
• Strong understanding of MEP construction standards, codes, and local regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Arabic speakers are preferrable.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Proactive problem-solving abilities and abilities to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
• Experience working with Pumping Station projects is a definite advantage.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and local codes, particularly in the Middle East or GCC.
• Preferably having local UAE/Abu Dhabi experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other Building MEP engineering design software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check designs for accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time.
