A Day in the Life - What you'll do
  • Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability to translate customer needs and CONOPS into executable system requirements.
  • Perform requirements decomposition and allocation to lower-level subsystems ensuring alignment across the system architecture.
  • Conduct functional analysis and systems trade studies to evaluate design solutions across concept, development, testing, and operational phases.
  • Assist in developing system and subsystem documentation including requirements, interface control documents, and verification plans.
  • Support system integration, testing, and verification activities to ensure requirements are met and validated.
  • Contribute to technical performance measurement definition, tracking, and reporting across the program lifecycle.
  • Support major program reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, SVR, and Test Readiness Reviews through preparation of systems engineering artifacts.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and subject matter experts to capture technical content and support CDRL development.
  • Interface with program leadership and external customers to communicate technical status, risks, and progress.
  • Maintain and update technical baselines and systems engineering documentation throughout the lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
  • Level II: 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 0 years with a Master's degree
  • Level III: 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years with a Master's degree or 1 year with a PhD
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance required at time of application
  • Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management
  • Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
  • Experience working within cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Experience supporting the full Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in customer-focused environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with technical writing including specifications and baseline documentation
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools such as Cameo
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Siemens, Windchill, or Teamcenter
  • Familiarity with radar systems and operational environments
  • Experience working in Agile development environments including sprint planning and execution
  • Experience managing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables from development through completion
