Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Test Engineer / Principal System Test Engineer for the Launch Systems team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
What You'll Get To Do:
In this role you will play a pivotal role in driving laboratory effectiveness and innovation. You will contribute to the design and preparation of laboratory environments, assist in test planning, and coordinate testing schedules. Your expertise will ensure that test stations and assets are fully operational, as you will deploy software and configure hardware for optimal testing. Collaboration will be key, as you work alongside Mission Assurance to validate and maintain test station integrity. Additionally, you will participate in test readiness reviews and integration events, ensuring rigorous standards are met. Basic Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Oversee and maintain precise documentation of lab configurations, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and system specifications
- Execute standard lab operations, including maintaining lab documentation
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of major testing events, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test objectives and protocols.
- Regularly provide updates on lab status, including equipment readiness, ongoing projects, and any potential delays or issues.
- Troubleshoot component and system level issues/discrepancies
- Perform Test Conductor Duties supporting multiple subsystem
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Test Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Test Engineer level (T-03).
- Systems Test Engineer: Bachelors in Science and 2 years of experience, Masters with 0 years of experience; additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Principal Systems Test Engineer: Bachelors in Science and 5 years of experience, Masters and 3 years of experience; additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret clearance or higher adjudicated within the past 6 years.
- 2+ years of experience with HW or SW integration in a lab / test environment
- 2+ years of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the administration and operations of lab or test environments.
- Experience with operation, development, or testing electrical, fiber optic and RF cables.
- Familiarity with lab equipment (DMMs, O-scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.) and lab processes (ESD, FOD, Configuration Management, etc.).
- Familiarity with COTS network management and configuration systems
- Experience using Test Equipment, such as digital multimeters, O-scopes, power supplies, etc.
- Experience with automated cable testers (CIRRIS CH2).
- Experience with or certification of IPC/WHMA-A-620.
- Experience with Jira, Assets, MES, CPLM, and SAP.
