Description:The Manufacturing Engineer will thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven planning environment, developing and implementing planning processes, conducting root-cause analysis, and driving continuous-improvement initiatives. The role also provides hands-on support to planning staff for engineering/specification guidance and proficient navigation of multiple software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create, document, and standardize planning workflows that align with manufacturing objectives.
- Develop and deliver training materials to ensure smooth adoption of new procedures by planning personnel.
- Analyze planning-related variances and bottlenecks with data-driven methods, develop corrective-action plans, and monitor their impact on schedule performance.
- Serve as the technical SME, providing individual assistance and facilitate communication among planners, support groups, and engineering teams.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support informed decision-making.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher or 2 + years of experience in a planning and/or production environment.
- General understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes.
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years experience with planning processes and procedures.
- Proven ability to resolve complex problems while consistently staying within budget constraints.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with being a team player.
- Training & upskilling capability - experience developing, delivering, and evaluating training processes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
