Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will oversee projects, access and review contract drawings, while implementing changes. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of team-oriented project work and technical writing.
Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent related field.
-Experience on at least one team based technical project.
-Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
-Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
-Technical Writing: Clear, concise, and audience-focused documentation that explains complex technical concepts, procedures, or specifications in a way that is easy to understand and readily usable.
-Problem Solving and Analytical Abilities: The capacity to identify root causes, break down complex issues into manageable components, evaluate alternatives, and develop logical, evidence-based solutions efficiently.
-Effective Written and Communication Skills: The ability to convey ideas, instructions, and feedback accurately and persuasively through written mediums (emails, reports, presentations) while also adapting tone and style to suit different audiences.
-Familiar with AI/Machine Learning: Basic to intermediate knowledge of AI/ML concepts, tools, and workflows.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $61,500 - $116,455.
