The JRC team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Systems/Digital Engineer to support Digital Engineering projects, tasks, and products in support of the Nuclear Weapons Surety (NWS) Acquisitions and Operations branch of Strategic Systems Programs. The individual will support a variety of systems engineering and program management areas and contribute to process improvement and architecture development.
What You'll Do
- Develop the Digital Engineering strategy, transition and implementation plan for the NWS branch.
- Support the configuration management of MBSE models, modeling and simulation tools and software, and other digital artifacts as applicable.
- Assist in developing training and education materials on model-based systems engineering methodologies, toolsets, and value proposition.
- Assist in assessing current branch processes to provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide writing support for branch documentation covering programs and processes.
- Coordinate with multiple senior stakeholders to reduce tasking/action cycle times.
- Use Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud (TWC), and DOORS to support system engineering activities.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or other STEM field.
- Current Secret DoD or an Active DOE security clearance.
- 2-4 years of experience in system design or systems engineering.
- Experience understanding and communicating various stakeholder needs and equities in complex organizations.
- Exposure to, and a willingness to learn Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (or other elements of Digital Engineering) tools and methodologies.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs and knowledge of their documentation and processes.
- Experience using the SysML modeling language and experience using Cameo Systems Modeler and/or DOORS.
- U.S. Citizen with DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible
- Experience using Teamwork Cloud, Confluence, and Jira.
- Certified Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) through INCOSE.
- Certified OCSMP-Model Builder User.
- Active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance SCI Eligible.
