Duties
Help
  • You will supervise the daily performance of IT personnel to include Marines, Civil Service personnel, and contractors.
  • You will develop a variety of correspondence (e.g. command orders, directives, standard operating procedures, reports briefing, point papers, positions paper, and talking papers, etc.)
  • You will maintain lines of communication with other installation's G6/S6 staffs throughout the Marine Corps.
  • You will plan and perform all functions for the delivery of network services throughout the region by developing project Plans of Action and Milestone, timelines, budgetary requirement, system/network resources usage policies and procedures.
  • You will provide direction, guidance, and develop policy for local telecommunication network and system operating units, centers, or network control facilities.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification within 6 months of hire.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Must be able required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervising administrative and technical functions across workforce operations; developing and implementing policy; managing planning and budget execution; and applying advanced knowledge of Network Operations (NetOps), Network Security, and Information Assurance (IA) to support organizational objectives and briefing senior leadership.
