Principal Engineer/Scientist

Core4ce is recruiting a Principal Engineer/Scientist to join our team of technical leaders who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible. In this senior-level role, you will lead complex, high-impact technical programs, drive research initiatives, and serve as a recognized expert whose insights shape both organizational strategy and client outcomes. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned technical professional to exercise full creative and technical authority on programs that directly advance national security objectives. You will work on-site at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) - one of the nation's premier intelligence production centers - located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. NASIC sits at the forefront of air, space, and cyberspace intelligence analysis, and your contributions will directly inform decisions at the highest levels of the U.S. defense and intelligence enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex, high-level technical and theoretical consulting and support services across defense and government programs.
• Design, develop, execute, and implement projects - often of a research nature - that meaningfully advance the organization's technical expertise and capabilities.
• Integrate advanced concepts, data, and information from diverse technical arenas to synthesize innovative approaches and techniques for solving challenging problems.
• Prepare and present high-quality reports, papers, proposals, briefings, and other technical documentation tailored to both technical and executive audiences.
• Act as a project leader, directing the work of junior and mid-level staff members and fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to program leadership, clients, and stakeholders on issues of strategic technical importance.

Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret/SCI
• Designing, developing, and deploying Cloud-native applications in complex, mission-critical environments
• Implementing and managing Event-Driven Architectures (EDA) at enterprise scale
• Building secure software solutions grounded in industry security best practices and frameworks
• Practical experience and demonstrated proficiency in software development using the Scrum framework
• Design and implementation of modern, intuitive User Interfaces (UI)
• Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) or equivalent advanced Scrum certification
• Relevant Scrum developer certifications (e.g., CSD, ASD) with demonstrated skills and hands-on experience
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator; CKAD - Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)

One of the following:

• PhD in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics plus 7+ years of direct relevant experience

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics plus 11+ years of direct relevant experience
