Boeing Global Services - Training Systems & Government Services, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Jacksonville, FL to contribute to the development of next generation maintenance training products on numerous platforms. Our System Engineering Integration and Testing (SEIT) contributions to the aerospace community include development of maintenance hardware devices and virtual maintenance trainers for the P-8 Poseidon, F-15, F-18, and Apache to name a few. Our Systems Engineers help lead the design and development of our training products, including supporting requirements definition, safety analyses, and certification processes. Systems Engineering also supports verification and testing activities for the final products in preparation for delivery to our customers.

Position Responsibilities:
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
- Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers to execute all phases of the systems engineering process
- Define top-level requirements for systems, as well as subsequent levels of requirements for subsystems
- Track defined requirements against testable and verifiable milestones
- Develop and execute test plans in support of requirements verification
- Define and track program risks, including mitigation plans to reduce program risk over time
- Support program reviews to ensure engineering quality, and that all aspects of the development lifecycle have been accounted for
- Define and refine processes within cross-functional teams to better support systems engineering activities
- Support requirements management in DOORS
- Resolve cross-functional technical issues
- Develop and design architecture for current and future programs
- Develop requirement, design and/or development revisions and change presentations to formal change boards
- Lead and Perform hardware/software integration and testing to ensure the system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience in all stages of development including generating technical documentation, system design and development, integration of systems development, structured analysis and design methodologies, integration and test/verification
- Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication
- Experience working in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Aircraft Maintenance
- Capable of independently developing and reviewing system requirements, integration and testing processes
- Experience with requirements management tools (IBM Rational DOORS)
- Experience with the SAFe/Agile (SCRUM) development methodology
- Able to understand and interpret CAD/CATIA/IVT drawings, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), and IETMs
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team environment
- Hardware testing knowledge and hands-on experience in using test equipment
- Experience in working with suppliers or other external stakeholders
