BAE Systems Navigation and Sensor Systems (NSS) is a leading provider of GPS receiver, anti-jam, and navigation solutions for military and commercial markets. For over 45 years, since the inception of GPS, NSS has led the market. Starting with the world's first GPS receiver, NSS has achieved many firsts in this industry including the first airborne receiver, the first handheld receiver, and the first weapon receiver. NSS also leads the industry by providing the smallest, lowest power military receivers and the most robust anti-jam products in the world. The Navigation and Sensor Systems (NSS) Programs/Portfolio Director will lead one of four NSS product portfolios and continue to drive the growth and the success of the business.
NSS is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where BAE Systems has invested in a new 280,000 square foot state of the art design and manufacturing facility.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Strong risk and opportunity management skills at a portfolio level Experience working with defense industry OEMs Deal effectively with senior level executives, customers, and partners, and resolve customer issues of a complex nature Potential to advance to the VP/GM level Demonstrate leadership in safety, code of conduct/ethics, diversity, security and culture Demonstrated ability to lead large groups of employees and/or teams and experience in developing teams and coaching future leaders Role Skills: Demonstrated ability as a customer advocate with successful resolution of customer issues Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategy in a complex market Product line portfolio P&L responsibility in a business including multiple contracts and products/services/suppliers and geographic locations Production and supply chain management experience in a high-volume production environment Demonstrated ability to successfully lead an organization through major changes using change management skills Holds or ability to gain a Secret clearance required, Top Secret preferred
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $173023 - $294137
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
