ServiceNow Developer (Active Top Secret or DHS Clearance)
Location: Hybrid - Ashburn, VA
Clearance: U.S. Citizen with active DHS clearance or Top Secret DoD clearance
Overview
Design, build, and enhance ServiceNow applications and integrations supporting DHS mission systems. Work across ITSM and related modules within an Agile environment, delivering secure, FedRAMP-aligned solutions. Develop AI capabilities using ServiceNow Virtual Agents and Now Assist.

Responsibilities
- Develop and configure ServiceNow ITSM and/or CRM modules
- Build workflows, dashboards, and system integrations
- Write and maintain JavaScript using the Glide API (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Scheduled Jobs)
- Design data tables, database views, and GlideRecord queries
- Implement role-based access controls
- Develop AI solutions using ServiceNow Virtual Agents and Now Assist
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, estimates, sprint delivery)
- Troubleshoot incidents, resolve defects, and perform performance tuning
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret and/or DHS clearance
- Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience
- ServiceNow Micro-Certifications:
- Virtual Agent Implementor, or
- Delivery Accreditation - Now Assist for ITSM, or
- Delivery Accreditation - AI Agents
- Experience designing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions
- Hands-on JavaScript experience
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication skills with technical and government stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Familiarity with Section 508, FISMA, and FedRAMP
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $125,000-$140,000
- Benefits: PTO, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), sick leave (as required by law)
