Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Spectrum Manager to support a DoD customer at Fort Rucker, AL . This position is a full-time, 100% onsite role supporting mission-critical communications across defense, emergency services, and public sector operations. As a Spectrum Manager , you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the use of the radio frequency spectrum to ensure reliable, compliant, and interference-free communications in high-stakes operational environments. This role is critical to maintaining effective spectrum access and supporting tactical, operational, and strategic communications for multiple government stakeholders.

As a Spectrum Manager , you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the use of the radio frequency spectrum to ensure reliable, compliant, and interference-free communications in high-stakes operational environments. This role is critical to maintaining effective spectrum access and supporting tactical, operational, and strategic communications for multiple government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage frequency assignments and allocations in accordance with national and international spectrum regulations.
- Coordinate spectrum usage with military, civil, and emergency service stakeholders.
- Monitor radio frequency spectrum usage to identify, analyze, and resolve interference issues.
- Develop and implement spectrum plans supporting operational, tactical, and strategic communications.
- Maintain accurate frequency databases, records, and technical documentation.
- Support spectrum coordination for exercises, special events, and emergency response situations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and other national spectrum authorities on licensing and policy matters.
- Ensure compliance with international agreements, including ITU regulations .
- Analyze future spectrum requirements and provide recommendations for planning and policy development.
- Provide technical guidance and training on spectrum management tools, databases, and procedures.

IAT Level II Certification (one required):
- CCNA Security
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- SSCP
AND
- Spectrum XXI Certification , OR
- Completion of Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager (25E) Course , OR
- Equivalent hands-on spectrum management experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in spectrum management, radio communications, or frequency planning.
- Familiarity with national and international spectrum regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of:
- Radio frequency propagation
- Signal behavior
- Radio and communications equipment
- Experience using spectrum management tools and databases, such as:
- SPECTRUM XXI
- PR-200
- Spectrum Guard Pro
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 **depending on experience**
