Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Frequency Manager to support government operations at Fort Rucker, AL. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for managing and coordinating radio frequency spectrum use to ensure reliable, compliant, and interference-free communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in spectrum management, frequency planning, and regulatory coordination in defense, emergency services, or public communications environments.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and allocate radio frequency assignments in accordance with national and international regulations.
- Coordinate spectrum usage with military, civil, and emergency service stakeholders.
- Monitor spectrum activity to detect, analyze, and resolve interference issues.
- Develop and implement spectrum management plans supporting operational, tactical, and strategic communications.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities such as the FCC and national spectrum management organizations.
- Support spectrum coordination for exercises, special events, and emergency operations.
- Maintain accurate frequency databases, records, and technical documentation.
- Analyze future spectrum requirements and provide recommendations for long-term planning and policy development.
- Ensure compliance with international agreements, including ITU regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and training on spectrum management tools, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in spectrum management, frequency planning, or radio communications.
- Familiarity with national and international spectrum regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RF propagation principles, signal behavior, and radio equipment.
- Experience using spectrum management tools and databases such as SPECTRUM XXI, PR-200, or Spectrum Guard Pro.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in operational environments.
Certifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).
- Spectrum XXI Certification, completion of the Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager (25E) Course, or equivalent experience.
Clearance Requirement:
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Work Environment:
- 100% on-site role at Fort Rucker, AL supporting mission-critical government communications systems.
Compensation:
- Pay: $130,000 (based on years of applicable experience)
