Job Description

Amyx is seeking a highly qualified Nuclear and CWMD Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) contract. This role provides technical, analytical, and intelligence advisory support focused on nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological, and emerging WMD threats.

The SME will directly support CWMD leadership, analysts, and operational partners by delivering threat assessments, intelligence analysis, risk assessments, and decision support related to adversary pathways, capability gaps, and threat trends. This position is critical to ensuring DHS maintains timely, accurate, and actionable insight into CWMD threats affecting homeland security.

Responsibilities

CWMD Intelligence & Threat Analysis

*Provide expert‑level analysis on nuclear and CWMD threats, including state and non‑state actor capabilities, intent, and emerging trends.
*Support development of threat assessments, intelligence products, risk assessments, and analytic briefings for CWMD leadership and interagency partners.
*Analyze intelligence reporting related to CBRN/nuclear materials, proliferation pathways, acquisition efforts, and potential attack scenarios.

Information Analysis & Decision Support
*Contribute to CWMD Information Analysis Directorate (IAD) activities supporting prevention, detection, and disruption of WMD threats.
*Synthesize intelligence from multiple sources to support operational planning, capability gap analysis, and program prioritization.
*Provide input to strategic and tactical products supporting federal, SLTT, and interagency stakeholders.

Advisory & Assistance Support
*Advise Government leadership on CWMD threat posture, analytic methodologies, and intelligence gaps.
*Support development and review of reports, briefings, white papers, and decision memoranda.
*Translate complex technical and intelligence information into clear, actionable insights for senior decision‑makers.

Interagency & Stakeholder Engagement
*Collaborate with DHS components, interagency partners, and mission stakeholders to ensure analytic consistency and information sharing.
*Support briefings, working groups, and coordination meetings related to CWMD threat analysis and intelligence integration.

Process Improvement & Analytic Rigor
*Apply structured analytic techniques to improve confidence, transparency, and repeatability of CWMD intelligence products.
*Contribute to enhancement of analytic workflows, data integration, and reporting processes within CWMD.
*Assist in developing metrics and feedback loops to improve analytic quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

*10+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, threat analysis, or national security support related to nuclear, radiological, or CWMD mission areas.
*Demonstrated expertise in CBRN or nuclear threat analysis, counter‑proliferation, or CWMD intelligence.
*Experience supporting federal homeland security, intelligence, or national security organizations (DHS, DoD, IC, interagency).
*Strong ability to produce high‑quality analytic products (written and oral) for senior Government audiences.
*Experience working in classified and unclassified analytic environments.
*Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred) in intelligence studies, national security, nuclear engineering, physics, international relations, or a related field.

*Prior experience supporting DHS CWMD, CISA, DTRA, IC elements, or similar CWMD‑focused organizations.
*Background in nuclear fuel cycle analysis, radiological threat assessment, or WMD counter‑threat frameworks.
*Experience engaging with SLTT partners or operational stakeholders on CWMD‑related missions.
*Familiarity with intelligence community analytic standards, structured analytic techniques, and intelligence reporting frameworks.
*Active Top Secret clearance.
*Experience supporting A&AS or advisory services contracts.
