Conducts advanced interoperability testing and analysis for the Patriot weapon system to determine effectiveness and operational readiness, ensuring applicable specifications are being met.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Ensures the Patriot system integrates effectively with joint and allied systems (e.g., radar, command-and-control, and communication networks)
- Works with systems like Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) architectures and joint data networks
- Validates compatibility with tactical data links such as Link 16
- Develops detailed test plans, procedures, and scenarios for interoperability validation
- Conducts developmental testing (DT) and operational testing (OT) in lab and field environments
- Executes live, simulated, and hardware-in-the-loop tests
- Supports large-scale exercises and evaluations (e.g., joint or coalition exercises)
- Collects and analyzes test data to assess system performance and interoperability
- Identifies issues, anomalies, and integration gaps
- Produces technical reports, test summaries, and briefings for stakeholders
- Provides recommendations for system improvements or fixes
- Supports requirements verification and validation (V&V)
- Assists in system configuration, setup, and troubleshooting during test events
- Evaluates software and hardware updates for interoperability impacts
- Works with engineering teams to resolve defects and integration issues
- Participates in technical interchange meetings, test readiness reviews, and after-action reviews
- Supports accreditation and certification processes where applicable

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years related experience
- Must have a minimum of a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required
- Experience supporting test and evaluation (T&E) activities, including developing and executing test plans, procedures, and scenarios
- Experience with systems integration and interoperability in complex hardware/software environments
- Familiarity with networked systems, communication protocols, and data exchange concepts
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving system-level issues across integrated platforms
- Ability to analyze test data and document findings in clear, concise technical reports
- Experience using test tools, simulation environments, or lab-based integration systems
- Strong understanding of requirements verification and validation (V&V) processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience analyzing tactical message data (e.g., TADIL-J on a Link 16 network)
- Competency in writing scripts to test against requirements and analyze test data
- Software development, requirements analysis, and data analysis experience
- Experience conducting interoperability testing on tactical weapon systems
