Job Description
DUTIES:
Branch Chief for the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) Battle Simulation Center (BSC). BSC consists of approximately 30 employees including subcontractors. Responsible for all aspects of Branch management to accomplish PWS requirements IAW applicable federal, state, installation regulations and corporate policies/procedures. Branch supports JRTC with constructive and virtual simulation support, integrating virtual and constructive elements into the live training environment and supporting simulation driven command post exercises using the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and future follow-on systems. Primary liaison with JRTC Operations Group TACCS (Training Analysis Communication Support and Simulations) and PEMC (Plans Exercise Maneuver Control). Continuous involvement in JRTC exercise development life cycle planning for each rotation. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following functional areas: employee work schedules and time sheets; employee training and certification programs; property accountability; overall responsibility for system administration of the JRTC Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC); quality control; safety; and, maintaining Branch-specific Standing Operating Procedures. Accomplishes other tasks and assignments as directed by the PM, DPM or Division Chief. Requires shift work and is subject to the JRTC rotational schedule.
Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Military or civilian supervisory experience in the development and execution of combat simulation exercises at the BCT level. In depth knowledge of military equipment, organization, and capabilities. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the following areas: US Army Brigade Combat Team organizational structure; standard US Army Brigade Combat Team operational concepts, terms and graphics; JRTC Operations Group mission, organization, and employment.
Desired Experience: Master's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Former Mission Training Complex/Division FA57 (O5 equivalent). In depth knowledge of the JLCCTC JRTC use case and architecture.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations. Must possess and maintain security clearance. Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
