Senior MLOps Engineer
Overview
Our clients, a rapidly growing/expanding AI-focused software development company supporting federal agencies, is seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer.

Delivers mission-critical technology for those who protect what matters. Builds AI-enabled capabilities purpose-built for federal law enforcement and national security partners. Work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and identity technology. Operates with a startup mentality focused on technical depth, creative problem-solving, and ownership.
Work Location
• Remote (U.S.) or McLean, VA
• McLean, VA office available for on-site or hybrid work
• Occasional travel to McLean, VA may be required for team onsites, planning sessions, or infrastructure work requiring physical access
• Schedule: Monday–Friday; occasional off-hours availability for infrastructure incidents, deployment windows, or training job monitoring
Role Summary
Own infrastructure supporting AI/ML systems, including pipelines, deployment, and GPU environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Build GPU infrastructure
• Develop CI/CD pipelines
• Automate deployments
• Optimize inference
• Implement monitoring
• Manage infrastructure as code
• Collaborate with ML teams
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years MLOps/DevOps
• AWS expertise
• Terraform experience
• Docker and GPU knowledge
• Python/Bash scripting
• ML lifecycle knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
• Generative AI experience
• Air-gapped environments
• MLflow or W&B
• Federal experience
What Success Looks Like
• 30 days: Understand systems
• 90 days: Improve pipelines
• 6 months: Scale infrastructure
