As a Business Management - Manager Level 2 located in Dulles, VA, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
The Business Management Manager 2 will report to the Enterprise Director of Homeland Defense LEO Defense Layer, Business Management.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate and lead all business management functions including contracts, pricing, proposal development, accounting, program planning & financial control, financial planning and program scheduling
- Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to financial program status and analysis.
- Drive cost and schedule management teams to achieve on-time deliverables supporting the business cadence with a heavy emphasis on earned value requirements and data analysis.
- Translate cost inputs into a financial forecast that incorporates sound judgement and top line adjustments to provide accurate assessments for the AOP and future planning.
- Provide direct management for a team of Business Management analysts.
- Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and preparation of reports to ensure programs are within negotiated and agreed-upon cost and schedule parameters and aligned to cost control guidelines.
- Collaborate with the program office and risk manager to ensure timely and accurate risks and opportunities are included in the financial projections.
- Spearhead the EAC integration with program business areas to ensure month to month alignment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or similar from an accredited university with 8 years of related Aerospace Industry experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
- 4+ years' experience in managing US Government contracts along with 2+ years of Leadership experience, either leading direct reports or integrated product teams
- Experience in implementing and executing Earned Value Management on major ACAT defense programs; working knowledge of financial business systems: ERP (preferrable SAP S/4 Hana), EVMS (COBRA & Microsoft Project)
- Experience briefing executive leadership in financial and operational matters
- Experience with all aspects/phases of program/portfolio start-up and execution of business operations for recurring and non-recurring activities
- Experience coordinating and leading a business functional area (i.e., Contracts, Cost & Schedule, Pricing & Estimating, Compliance, etc.)
- Ability to translate, review and analyze data, to develop and manage financial plans/goals and overseeing monthly financial reporting
- The ability to travel 10+% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree and 9+ years of related aerospace industry experience
- Direct experience in multiple aspects of business management (cost, schedule, pricing and estimating, proposals, and FP&A)
- Expert knowledge of financial business systems: ERP (preferrable SAP S/4 Hana & CostPoint), EVMS (COBRA) and BI Tools (Power BI)
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting Regulations with the ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships
- Expertise with program startup efforts and support of the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) and required data submittals
- Experience in the development of detailed business case analysis and return on investment analysis
- Strong analytical skills including emphasis on variance analysis
- Direct experience working development and production Space programs
