Job Description
Job Number 723854BR
Description:
You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Integrated Air & Missile Defense - Advanced Programs (IAMD AP) Long Endurance Electronic Decoy (LEED) team. Our team is racing to deliver a next generation decoy that defeats anti ship missile threats for the U.S. Navy, driving rapid hardware development across air vehicle, launcher, control electronics, and ship integration subsystems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineer you will act as the technical backbone for the LEED program, leveraging fast paced, multidisciplinary development methods to move concepts to flight ready hardware. Your responsibilities will include:
• Creating and iterating electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring harnesses for the air vehicle, launcher, launch mechanism, and control electronics.
• Applying mechanical design principles to ensure proper packaging, thermal management, and structural integrity of each subsystem.
• Troubleshooting system issues in the lab and on site, rapidly diagnosing faults and implementing fixes.
• Specifying, procuring, and organizing build material inventories while maintaining traceability and compliance with program standards.
• Supporting "pathfinder" design maturity spirals: fabricating prototypes, conducting functional tests, and feeding results back into the design loop.
• Collaborating with internal engineers, external vendors, and ship integration partners to synchronize interfaces and schedules.
• Documenting design decisions, test data, and lessons learned in clear, auditable reports.
• Mentoring junior engineers and championing an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
