Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band ND-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintaining Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems and/or supporting hardware/software for PNT sensors, systems, and/or associated simulation and test equipment.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.

Section 1109 of the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2020 Public Law 116-92 amended Section 9905 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.) to streamline and simplify certain Department of Defense civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain positions in the competitive service in the Department of Defense.
This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories.
The pay schedule and pay band for all Science and Engineering Positions will be ND-1/2/3/4/5.
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Scientist, proficiency level intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

- You will translate requirements and program needs to develop and apply advanced computer science methods and techniques to solve complex engineering requirements.
- You will manage, lead, and perform professional scientific work involving the determination, dissemination, and application of position, velocity, attitude and time.
- You will develop, implement and maintain PNT information systems, Cyber Security programs, policies, procedures, and/or software tools to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks, and/or data.
- You will acquire, manage, and allocate resources to execute one or more complex projects. Anticipate and define customer needs and requirements for project execution.
- You will research, specify, analyze, design, develop, integrate, acquire, test, evaluate, install and support hardware and software for PNT sensors, systems, and associated simulation and test equipment.
