Position Summary
The BIM Designer supports engineering teams by creating, updating, and maintaining high-quality technical drawings, schematics, and documentation. This role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and timely CAD outputs that meet standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
5+ years
Education & Experience
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year technical college; or six months to one year of relevant professional or military experience; and/or experience in lieu of education
Preferred Training / Certifications
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD (Entry on Duty)
Top Secret Clearance desired

The BIM Designer supports engineering teams by creating, updating, and maintaining high-quality technical drawings, schematics, and documentation. This role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and timely CAD outputs that meet standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce moderately complex drawings, designs, and layouts using CAD software based on verbal instructions, markups, sketches, engineering notes, or technical publications.
- Create and maintain floor plans, rack layouts, rack elevations, assembly drawings, and engineering change documentation.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to technical specifications and drafting standards.
- Apply redline markups and revisions to technical data, preliminary specifications, and design documents.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and technical personnel to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet weekly CAD deliverables and project deadlines.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Comprehend, Visio, and Bluebeam
- Understanding of drafting standards, basic engineering concepts, and applied mathematics (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
