Job Description

Creek Technologies is seeking a Technical IT Project Manager to lead, coordinate, and improve information technology (IT) initiatives from concept through execution. This role combines project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and process/portfolio management, ensuring IT programs are effectively planned, executed, and continuously improved.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing technical projects and teams, along with the ability to analyze processes, support strategic decision-making, and communicate across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Management
  • Manage IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate activities across technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Monitor progress, track milestones, and report on deliverables and performance metrics
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact
  • Lead project meetings, reviews, and planning sessions to ensure alignment and execution

Process Improvement & Portfolio Management
  • Manage and enhance the AFWERXs Tech Initiative process and supporting tools/webpages
  • Facilitate review of customer IT requirements and support stakeholder discussions
  • Develop business cases for new IT initiatives and programs
  • Provide recommendations to streamline and improve IT processes and workflows
  • Support development and management of the IT technology roadmap and portfolio artifacts
  • Create visualizations and materials to communicate portfolio management processes

Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop communication materials tailored for stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Provide regular project updates, reports, and briefings to leadership
  • Recommend criteria and metrics to evaluate the impact of starting, stopping, or continuing IT programs
  • Ensure alignment between technical teams and organizational objectives

Documentation & Tools
  • Maintain project and technical documentation, including plans, reports, and requirements
  • Support and manage collaboration platforms and tools (e.g., SharePoint, PowerApps, Power BI)

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT or technical projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle management
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience with project management and scheduling tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field required
