Job Description

The qualified candidate will provide the confidence and assurance of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts engineering requirements and expertise across BAE - Space and Mission Systems (SMS) programs, engineering departments, and customer base. Work with the systems assurance parts engineering team to establish parts engineering requirements appropriate for the hardware, systems, and mission. Posess the adaptability to apply Lessons Learned with recommendations across the BAE - Space and Mission Systems (SMS) sector to enable future Mission Success.

What You'll Do:

• Be personally mentored and trained one-on-one by two principal electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts engineering subject matter experts (SMEs) in the Mission Systems Assurance (MSA) systems EEE parts engineering department, with a combined 20 years of direct EEE parts engineering experience.
• Review and assess industry alerts and determine impact and applicability to ongoing missions.
• Support Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board (PMPCB) processes and procedures for large Prime Programs.
• Support risk assessments to Mission Assurance (MA) and program management on application of a wide range of EEE part commodity types and mission requirements.
• Provide and communicate advice, guidance, understanding, and assistance of both the technical and programmatic aspects of a EEE parts program to the project team, senior leadership, as well as the customer.
• Collate and review appropriate subcontractor EEE part deliverables in accordance with mission requirements and MAP criteria.
• Support the development of Mission Assurance Plans (MAPs) and implement the program strategy, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with all company and government requirements.
• Support establishing companywide EEE parts policy and procedures to ensure appropriate requirements based on mission type and customer base.
• Possess the willingness to assist other parts engineers in completing their tasks.
• Efficiently learn new subjects / techniques / software, without, necessarily, the assistance of others.
• Interface with Program Managers, Mission Assurance Managers, and customers.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
• May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
• May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and ability to lead group discussions.
• Track records of highly collaborative working skills in a team environment.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related technical field.
• Electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts engineering and / or design and / or processing.
• A current TS/SCI security clearance.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
