Duties
As an AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, WS-8801-14, you will:
Conditions of employment
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.
Areas of Consideration: CAT 3 ALL NJ ANG MEMBERS
Military Grades: SMSgt/E-8 to CMSgt/E-9
Compatible Military Assignments: 2A300- Must have AFSC prior to start date of appointment (attach proof of AFSC)
Security Clearance: Must have Security Clearance prior to start date of appointment (attach proof of clearance type)
Additional Employment Requirements:
Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade
Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments
Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.
*Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1)

As an AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, WS-8801-14, you will:
- Resolve grievances and ensures proper corrective action is taken
- Recommend promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors
- Readiness evaluations, inspections, and command support exercises
- Plan the overall allocation of personnel, funding, and equipment resources
- Ensure that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow safety precautions
- Perform other Duties as Assigned

Must have 36 months of the following specialized experience:
- Journeyman level knowledge
- Equipment and techniques to new situations
- Various lines of work performed by this function
- Review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines
- Ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel
