Job Description

Chief Security Engineer Level 4

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph to be considered.

Cherokee Strategic Edge is seeking a Chief Security Engineer to support our government client.

Compensation & Benefits:

Chief Security Engineer Level 4 Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide expert support, analysis, research, and advice into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to Information Assurance and International Network security
  • Serve as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
  • Coordinate with contract management and Government personnel to ensure the Security Tasks have been properly defined and the solutions satisfy customer needs and Information Assurance Requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Chief Security Engineer Level 4 Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Must meet one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or GED and 16 years of relevant experience
    • Associate's degree and 14 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience
    • Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience
    • PhD and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible information assurance experience in ICD 503 assessment and authorization.
  • Expertise is in Cybersecurity, Information Systems Architecture and Security Engineering,
  • Serve as a security consultant to a number projects dealing with International Intelligence networks and Information Assurance processes
  • Current CISSP certification
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of public key infrastructure and encryption systems
  • Knowledge of ICD 503 and Risk Management Framework (RMF), Joint Force After Next (JFAN)
  • Understanding of classified IT network systems, terminology and SDLC
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
