Location: This position is ONSITE. 4 days a week. MUST live within 100 miles of Lexington, MA.

Aquila Technology is seeking a Software Developer t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The candidate will be responsible for implement algorithms to process large datasets obtained from a proprietary database platform. This work may include front-and back-end development. The candidate must be experienced in software requirements, design, development, integration, testing, documentation, and maintenance. Work will be executed primarily in Rust and Python in a Linux environment using open source and custom software.

Must Have

• Clearance Level: Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
• 5 years - NoSQL database technology
• 2 years - Developing Distributed and Cloud-Based Systems and Services
• 5 years - Object- and service-oriented development skills (microservices architecture)
• 2 years - Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• 5 years - Programming Languages (Java, JavaScript, Python)
• 2 years - Developing scalable software architectures in cloud-native environments
• 5 years - CI/CD pipelines tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)
• 1 years - Front end development with modern visualization tools (e.g., Grafana or Kibana)
• 5 years - Architecting software systems
• 1 years - Developing/deploying (with) agentic and generative AI solutions 1

Work Location: This role is expected to be onsite at least 4 days a week, with one remote day as needed.
