Summary
We are seeking an experienced Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) Consultant to support a federal engagement in a fully remote capacity. This role requires a active Public Trust, and will support a long-term effort totaling approximately 1,766 hours with potential for extension. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in JBoss EAP administration, configuration, and support within secure, enterprise-level environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in JBoss EAP administration, configuration, and support within secure, enterprise-level environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat JBoss EAP environments
- Support deployment, tuning, and troubleshooting of enterprise Java applications
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across environments
- Implement security best practices in alignment with federal and SEC requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve application server issues, including logs, memory, and JVM performance
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize application delivery
- Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of JBoss EAP instances
- Document system configurations, processes, and operational procedures
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
- Experience supporting application servers in federal or regulated environments preferred
- Familiarity with Java-based applications, JVM tuning, and performance optimization
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
- Understanding of security and compliance frameworks
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fully remote team environment
- Active SEC Public Trust clearance required
