Responsibilities

Noblis MSD is a Naval Life Cycle Management, Engineering, Enterprise Transformation and Program Management business. Our engineers, developers, technical staff, programmers, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy new shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms, and develop strategies to support the Warfighter. Noblis MSD's employees create strategic solutions to help customers reach new levels of mission support and transform their organizations. Noblis MSD is seeking an on-site representative in the San Diego, CA and Philadelphia, PA areas to support DDG Modernization programs under the cognizance of Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia (NSWCPD).

The candidates' duties will include the following:
  • Act as a liaison between NSWCPD and West Coast shipyards and waterfront fleet activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee technical efforts related to HM&E control systems modernization aboard DDG class ships.
  • Act as a quality assurance representative for new system installations, and coordinate efforts of test teams for system verification.
  • Provide troubleshooting support on electrical, mechanical and control systems/equipment.
  • Develop and distribute recurring status reports related to system installation and test projects.
  • Review technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, test procedures, operational procedures, and technical manuals.
  • Provide liaison support between NSWCPD Program Managers, ISEAs, NAVSEA sponsors, Type Commanders (TYCOMs), waterfront activities, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to the DDG/CG Modernization Program.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree, Associates degree or High School Diploma and a minimum of Ten (10) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, alteration, testing and repair of HM&E equipment.
  • Well versed in control systems, integrated bridge, navigation systems.
  • Technical proficiency to read and interpret Navy drawing packages.
  • Requisite knowledge of the industrial ship building and repair field.
  • Experience with aluminum welding processes and welding inspection techniques, including American Welding Society (AWS) D1.2 and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rules for Materials and Welding.
  • Ability to perform the tasks independent of direct oversight.
  • Up to 25% travel.
  • Secret clearance or ability to obtain secret clearance required.
  • US Citizenship

  • College degree with 3 years related work experience will be considered.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
